Music of the heart - WIP

Music of the heart - Work in progress.

Title is just a working title... I think.

Again, hair thin pen. Copic Multiliner 0.03.

Best pen ever!

Hahaha... This drawing will probably never be completed! It just grows bigger...

"Anna" framed

Got my own drawing "Anna" framed for a change! The larger one. (The small ones are woodcuts by Niclas Gulbrandsen. Love them!)

Music of the heart - preparation

Preparing for a larger project. I have the drawing in my head, but I need reference images. I'm so happy for google. How on earth did artists ever manage without it?

Ready to move in. Armed with ink:

WIP - Self Portrait

Self portrait - work in progress.

Most of the shadows were built up with tiny dots of ink.

Using Copic Multiliner 0.1 and 0.03.

0.03 is really, really thin. The lines are thin like hair. I love these pens!

This was a mixed media project. The face and the necklace was a black and white photo, but I dotted the shadows with a pen on these too. All coloring was later done by hand. You can see the finished project in another blog post.

I love to listen to music and enjoy a glass of wine while drawing! :-)

...and this...

...is what happens.

Experimenting...
