New WIP - 3 december.

New work in progress. Right now I can't decide on what medium to use. I might use pencil only on this one - something I haven't done in years. But then – I do love my charcoal.

Sitting nude

Just a sitting nude. No fuzz. Found the reference image online, but forgot to save both the image and the name of photographer. I don't really think the resemblance is any good anyway. That's rarely the point of using reference photos. I just need ideas and correct anatomy.

White isn't just white anymore II

Visited my new favorite store in Bergen last week, and got myself one of these sketch books. Yeah, I know, I own at least 20 sketch books, but this one was oh so cool. 24 pages, 3 assorted whites. Paper isn't just paper. White isn't just white. I loooove the warm feel of these papers. They are so pretty with my chalks. And speaking of chalks, I only own a few colors. I need more!

Close to two weeks with pneumonia, has driven me up the walls with boredom, and I finally got to clean up my space. Found a lot of equipment I'd forgot about.... I need to do more drawing. I need to do more blogging... Sorry about my laziness, folks! Things will get better now. I have more time in the winter.

WIP "Daphne"

 

Work in progress. This is just a sketch. I might do something with it some day. I love the story of Daphne and Apollo.

...Seeing that Apollo was bound to catch her, she called upon her father, "Help me, Peneus! Open the earth to enclose me, or change my form, which has brought me into this danger!" Suddenly, her skin turned into bark, her hair became leaves, and her arms were transformed into branches...
